Register of Contracts

The following table allows you to view details of contracts that Wigan Council has in place for the procurement of goods, services and works. These are contracts which have been formed with organisations from the private, public and voluntary sectors. Please click on the contract title to access further information about the contract.

In addition to these contracts, we also have the option of procuring through framework agreements established by the Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation (YPO). YPO is the largest formally constituted local authority purchasing consortium in the UK. A complete list with full details of all the framework agreements available can be viewed in the document Procurement Services - May 2012 - Issue 5 (Adobe PDF). This can alternatively be viewed in spreadsheet format as a datasheet (MS Excel). We will issue revised documents and publish these on this site when these become available from YPO.

Another important source of goods and services are framework agreements which have been arranged by the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities (AGMA). There are currently a wide range of goods and services available and a lead authority is assigned to each agreement to take responsibility for their administration and management. The AGMA Procurement Hub (external link) based in Trafford Council but which works on behalf of all Greater Manchester authorities maintains an up to date list of these agreements.

There are also a substantial number of framework agreements made available through the Government Procurement Service (external link) (formerly Buying Solutions) which are made available through this central government body

If you are an organisation seeking to win business from Wigan Council you are advised to contact the Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation and to access the Government Procurement Service Supplier Zone (external link) to maximise your chances of winning business competitively. These organisations will be able to explain the procedure necessary to obtain a place on their framework agreements. Competitive business opportunities procured directly by Wigan Council will be advertised using our usual procedures.
